The Bricklayers Arms public house is on Main Street in the heart of the village.
August 2026 – The Bricklayers Arms has had a smart new makeover.
Earlier in the year the interior was completely revamped with a fresh new look, and new fencing erected around the car park.
During heatwave August the exterior paintwork was given a great new look. It looks fabulous, thanks to local decorator Dave Goodburn and his team.

New landlords Paul and Becky Heath took over the pub in February 2023.
It is a warm and welcoming traditional country village pub and restaurant.
There is a large garden with a dedicated children’s play area and a pathway leading down to Thornton reservoir.
In the winter months enjoy the coal fires for that cosy feeling; most welcome to the many walkers who come to Thornton to enjoy the walking here.
Dogs and muddy boots are welcome.
