The latest quiz night at Thornton on Saturday 2nd Nov, raised £500 towards the upkeep and building works at the Community centre.
The winning team of 4 (the Cuckoos) scored an impressive 93 out 100 taking away the first prize of £24. Two teams tied on a score of 89 and after a tie-breaker, second place and a prize of £12 went to the Sparrows also a team of 4.
8 ‘quizzers’ went home with raffle prizes – thank you Liz M and Ann B for your contributions to the raffle which raised £56.
1 ‘quizzer’ went home with a bottle of prosecco and 1 with a box of Quality street after a quick round of card bingo.
Another successful, enjoyable night – Hopefully there will be another one early in the New Year.
