Braving the Shave on 26th August at the Bricklayers Arms

Macmillan Cancer Support

Rebecca Heath (landlady of the Bricklayers Arms, Thornton), will be shaving her hair off in honour of two very brave and important women with whom she has shared her life, to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

“One who’s battle was lost, Olive Quince, the most important woman in her life whom she loved with every fibre of her heart and soul and miss more and more every day, she was stolen from this earth far too early, sleep tight & fly high angel.”

“And one who is currently kicking cancer in it’s butt, Emma Burrows. You’ve got this Mrs B, we’ve shared so many moments from belly laughing to kicking each other into gear, I will now go bald with you along your journey as I can’t find any words to show you how much I admire your courage and bravery through this life changing time you face”.

The Bricklayers Arms will be hosting a huge fun day on the day of Rebecca’s shave, Saturday August 26th 2023, a day to not only raise awareness and fingers crossed, some much needed fund-raising, but a day for families to spend quality time together, to laugh, enjoy each other and make memories.

Life is too short, lets enjoy and embrace every moment – Rebecca Heath
