Christingle at Thornton Church on Christmas Eve at 4pm – a really special start to Christmas!

A reminder from Shirley that the next gathering of the Three T’s is on Wednesday 13th December (not this week), at the usual time between 2pm and 4pm.
Meetings are always on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, sometimes confusing when there are 5 Wednesdays in the month.
Hopefully there will be ‘a bit of a Christmas celebration’.
If you would like to attend but need a lift, then contact Shirley on 01530 230422
It was a busy day for the Seniors of Thornton last Saturday (2nd December).
Firstly between 10am and midday the trustees of the Luke Jackson Charity were at the hall distributing monies from the trust fund to anyone of government retirement age.
If you are not sure what the charity is all about, then read the story I published last year. It dates back to the Spanish Armada and the Gunpowder plot.
Seniors Christmas Party
Then during the afternoon about 60 ‘seniors’ attended the annual Christmas party at the Centre.
Huge thanks to all those who are involved in organising the party, we really appreciate all the hard work involved. It was a lovely sociable afternoon, with loads to eat and drink; and certainly brightened up an otherwise really cold wet day.
