Royal British Legion – Thank You Event

100 years ago the First World War ended. This is an opportunity for the communities of Thornton, Bagworth, Stanton and Markfield to come together to say Thank You to the WW1 generation. The day will include a 2 minute silence, readings of poetry and letters, songs and poppy making. Local schools ad organisations are all taking part. You will be able to see the RBL video and write a Thank You postcard for our very own ‘Siegfried Line’. Take a walk around the reservoir on the day where all the names of our local heroes will be on display together for the first time.
