Inspired by the gothic horror movies of the 1930’s – think Frankenstein, Dracula, haunted houses, mysterious moaning and creaky floorboards, daft scary music and magical illusion. ‘Is That a Bolt In Your Neck?’ is a fast-paced, rollicking ride mixing spooky paranoia, surreal nightmare and frantic farce.
As lightning flashes across the sky, the rugged silhouette of an old dark house looms into view. Lost is a storm, this seems like the only possible refuge – but what happens when you hear mysterious moaning in the middle of the night? Behind every door lurks unimaginable horror….
This family show that is packed full of hilarious slapstick, verbal wit, live music and magical illusion. Featuring three fearless actors performing over 30 characters in just 75 minutes of action, an array of excellent props and daft puppets, you’ll gasp, laugh and be amazed at the horrific experiments, mind-boggling love and the sensational death-defying finale.
‘The cast and show were excellent. There was something for everyone . . . you really felt as though you were there in the creepy old house. The set was incredible. All in all excellent value for money’ Live & Local Audience Member ★★★★★ ‘Anarchic comedy theatre at its best’ Fringe Review
