After months of uncertainty over the central heating at the Centre, with leaks popping up in the pipework in the 53 year old Main Hall, causing damage to floor; and constant low pressure meaning we were never sure if the boiler would come or not, the Centre has a new boiler.
There were numerous visits by engineers during the summer months trying to locate and repair the problem without success, finally when all other tests had been completed it was discovered that there was a major fault with the boiler that could not be repaired.
Local heating engineer Tom Orme came to the rescue and fitted a new, larger, more efficient boiler during half term.
Cost to the Community Centre – £3,700
