The latest fundraising quiz for the Friends of St Peter’s raised £85 after printing costs.
The money has been donated to FOSP to be used towards the maintenance and upkeep of St Peter’s church and churchyard.
33 quiz papers were returned – 16 had all the answers correct. (With so many correct answers I had to mark down those with spelling mistakes eg – The Monkies/Monkeys – should be Monkees).
After a random draw from the 16 correct answers – Amanda Jelley was declared the winner of the £10 prize.
Others with all correct answers are: – Dot Hollins, Jenny Hargreaves, Sue Gilder, Kathryn Byrne, Janet Greenfield, David Blain, Sue Black, Sue Smith, Sandy Maycock, Doreen Phillips ,Ann Barwell, Dave Robinson, Liz Mitchell, Judith Graves, Lis Muller,
There were many complimentary comments on the returned quiz sheets saying what good fun the quiz had been and how much people had enjoyed doing it.
Hopefully the balance was just right, with questions not too difficult to make it impossible but just hard enough to make you think.
For those that enjoy this type of quiz there will be another one out soon – I’ve nearly finished writing it. This will be on Plants, Flowers and Herbs.
The questions and answers are:-
