Today sees the launch of the new #NHSCOVID19app – all you need to get involved is a smart phone. Based on an Apple/Google privacy framework -the app is the best way to protect our community.

Through the app – you can help to contribute a better understanding on how the virus is spreading in our area.

The app supports contact tracing, checking into venues through an in-built QR code scanner, risk alerts by postcode, a symptom checker and test booking.

It is the fastest way to see if you’re at risk from the virus. The faster you know, the quicker you can alert and protect your loved ones.

You can download the app from the app store on your phone, just open the app store and search for NHS covid 19 app

If you do not have a smart phone, please be assured that all venues, cafes, restaurants, hairdressers, tailors etc – all public facing organisations will take still be taking ‘pen & paper and over the phone’ details as well. This is now a legal requirement.

You can also help to spread the word by adding the promotional email footer to your emails (feel free to copy and paste the footer below)

You can find out more information at covid19.nhs.uk.
