Thornton Tea with a twist – this Wednesday


Wednesday 2 to 4 pm
Hope you will be able to join us this afternoon, Wednesday, at Thornton Community Centre for a cuppa, cake, a warm and time to chat. Everyone is welcome, including well behaved dogs on leads.
Come and see what its all about and enjoy some company..

Jigsaws, and board games, are available to play, books and jigsaws to borrow, and a small play area for young families.
Do join us if you can, even if it’s only for a short while –Drop in at any time.
3Ts is on the second and fourth Wednesdays in each month.
If you would like to help with these Wednesdays, even for just the odd one, please do let me know.

Iris Gleeson – funeral details

Iris’s funeral will be on Thursday March 2nd at 12.15 at St Peter’s Church, Thornton.
I know many of you will want to be there to say farewell to a lovely lady who did so much for the village over so many years.

Clear Out Sale – 25th February – Thornton Community Centre

Clear Out Sale Saturday 25th February 11 until 2 pm Thornton Community Centre

Any profit made from this event, organised by the Friends of St Peter’s, will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Earthquake appeal – Turkey and Syria.

Hope you are able to come along, enjoy the event, pick up a few bargains and help give your support to Turkey and Syria. Their need is so great. Every little helps.

Working Party – Thornton Churchyard – Saturday 18th Feb

There will be a working party this Saturday, at Thornton churchyard from 10 until 12 noon.

The churchyard and graves in the old churchyard need a good tidy.  Saplings removed, boundary tidying.

All sorts really.

If you can join us even for short while that would be great.

Please bring whatever tools you think you might need, stout gardening gloves and a drink.
